2021 Mission: The mission of the Safety and Health Committee is to advocate and promote various Minnesota fire service safety initiatives.

2021 Committee Report: The issues specifically dealing with firefighter health and safety are being worked on through the Minnesota Firefighter Initiative (MnFIRE). This initiative is a combined effort between the MSFCA, MSFDA, MPFF and multiple other fire service stakeholders.

It is my opinion that the best way to approach the issue of firefighter wellness is through a combined effort, and I will be working with the MSFCA Board of Directors on a proposal to make that happen in a way that is consistent with the vision of the MSFCA.
