2021 Annual Conference Health Acknowledgement

Please be sure to review any advisories, restrictions, and guidelines that may be in place for travel to any MSFCA (Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association) event or large gathering. By attending and participating in a MSFCA event, you are confirming that you and all persons in your party:

  • Are not experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19 as identified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at CDC.gov, including:
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea
  • Are not under any self-quarantine orders

Attendees who cannot confirm all the above criteria at the time of the event must not attend the 2021 MSFCA Annual Conference. If at any point during your attendance you or your guest do not meet this criteria, both of you will be required to isolate and may be relocated or asked to leave the property. 

If you are not fully vaccinated, it is recommend by the CDC you wear a mask while participating in ANY indoor gatherings. (i.e. vendor show, classroom activities, programs, and breaks)

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place or gathering. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to serve illness and death. According to the CDC, senior citizens and attendees with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.

By attending the 2021 MSFCA Annual Conference, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and further acknowledge that you understand and will follow all health and safety protocols established by the MSFCA and the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center (DECC). Failure to abide by all health and safety protocols implemented for the event is grounds for being asked to leave the event without refund.
