Join us for our annual Minnesota State Fire Chiefs Association Conference which will be held at the Rochester Mayo Civic Center on October 21-23, 2010. Last year, we had a record attendance in Duluth. This one will be bigger and better than ever. The 2010 conference will feature a “Lessons Learned” workshop on Thursday, Oct. 21 in the morning which will outline recent high profile fire events. There are four educational tracts to choose from that afternoon. On Friday two of the five educational tracts will be repeated and we will have our famous symposium on Saturday morning with Chief Brunacini and Chief Halton. Read the description of that morning and you will not want to miss it.
Attached is a schedule of events outlining the speakers and topics, as well as the timetable and locations for the conference programs. Registration check-in is at the Mayo Civic Center, North Lobby. Please read the schedule with care as we have made some major changes.
Thursday evening highlights a terrific President’s reception, which enables all the conference attendees a great time for networking and interacting. It also gives you an opportunity to meet and greet our vendors in a relaxed informal manner.
The vendor exhibits will open at Noon on Thursday and will run through Friday afternoon at 3:30 PM. There are built in exhibitor breaks to allow ample time to visit with the exhibitors and learn about the products and services they are offering.
Friday we will have an Exhibitors Lunch and a “Partner’s Lunch”. Saturday’s event will be the Symposium. The fabulous Awards Banquet / Dance will appeal to all musical tastes on Friday night. Yes you read that correctly, the Awards Dinner /dance will be on Friday where your Board hopes for a larger turnout of attendees.
You must make your own lodging arrangements with the hotel of your choice, Hotel options are attached. Don’t delay in securing lodging. You must mention you are with the MN State Fire Chiefs Association to get the discounted room rates.
What a great way to network with your friends and colleagues in the fire service and government while learning about new products and new challenges. This conference will give you the information you need to do your job better. See you there – You do not want to miss it!
